Open Migrator MBR to GPT

Yes, you can use Open Migrator to migrate data between the partition types.  Keep in mind (I'm assuming Windows), Open Migrator copies NTFS (file system) clusters so therefore it is a common tool to perform the following:

1) Migrate between partition types: MBR to GPT

2) Migrate data in an effort to correct the alignment of partitions to match the (default) 64KB (128 block) stripe element size of the CLARiiON/VNX arrays of volumes that were not originally initialized on a stripe boundary (for instance, Windows 2003 volumes that were not initialized using diskpar/diskpart but instead taking defaults within Disk Management).

It is worth noting based on how Open Migrator performs the data mobility (moving NTFS clusters), you can not use Open Migrator to redo the NTFS (file system) Allocation unit size.  Even if you formatted the target volume with a 64KB cluster size but the original was the default 4KB, you would have the same 4KB cluster size on the target after the copy.  For this, you would have to use a host based copy tool to accomplish this.  Just an FYI while on the topic, and you may have very well already concluded that.
