Recovery media is rather pointless.

To migrate to a larger SSD, the best thing to do is to make an image backup of the entire hard drive using something like Macrium Reflect Free software. You will need an external USB hard drive. Then restore image to the larger SSD.

That was my original plan, but some have said that the OEM partitions may / may not be usable then. I had to deal with some file corruption a while ago, and was looking to do a fresh factory reset. I figured if I could use the recovery media to create the original partition structure, It would be quicker than cloning the drive.
