Desktop Inspiron, ask for a different RAM and SSD configuration?
Hi to all!
I am new to this forum. I have to buy a new pc desktop for professional and personal use at same time.
I am interested in Inspiron i7 with NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GTX 1650 - 4 GB of memory GDDR5, but I would like to have 16 GB for RAM (the base configuration has 8 GB) and 512 GB for SSD (898€ now on the shop).
Is it possibile to make this request during online ordering phase? Or, if not, after received the product, can I upgrade the memory RAM and SSD or just one of two?
In case of the second chance, this upgrade compromises the state of the warranty?
I am trying to call the contact center, but in these days nobody answers, maybe for this particular period worldwide.
Thank you in advance.
Hope all are fine.
Regards,
Viviana

For professional use I would not buy an Inspiron. I would buy an Optiplex.
You don't say which country you are from.

should be no problem. Dell would not guarantee on new hardware installed by customer. Warranty only covers factory configured hardware and software.

Thank you @nyc10036 !
I am from Italy, and as I said, I have to use the desktop as for private use as for professional, so in term of budget and configuration Insipiron seemed like a good compromise.
However, I also observed Optilex options, but unluckily they all have an Intel UHD Graphics (integrated), and not dedicated as I would, for exception of Optilex 7071 (1709€).
Maybe other option could be there?
My desiderata:
i7 9700
RAM: 16 GB ( or 8GB to be upgraded to 16 GB)
SSD:512 (or 256 GB) + HDD 1 TB
GPU: almost 4 GB
Thank you all for you support!

Thank you @redxps630 and sorry for my answer so late!
So if I upgrade RAM (2 x 8GB so it will be 16 GB), and upgrade SSD from 256 to 512, in case of problem for warranty, Dell anyway consider my desktop under warranty?
Although I think it is not a problem for updating ram and ssd, but I would like to have the certainty. Moreover, that there would be no guarantee seals. Unfortunately, assistance during the sale phase is not foreseen, and this information is not possible to have in advance or contacting it.
I always used Dell in my work experience, and I am sure they are good product, but searching the best configuration for me it doesn't exist and I though they were most customizable in online store.
Thank you in advance!

For optiplex 7071 Dell does offer 16GB as a factory configuration option, but ssd is limited to 256 GB at this point.
https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/desktops-all-in-one-pcs/new-optiplex-7071-desktop-tower/spd/optiplex-7071-desktop
but its spec supports up to 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe ssd (class 35) or 2TB (class 40)
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/04/optiplex-7071-desktop/optiplex7071_setup/storage?guid=guid-2baf4bdb-83a2-4b45-8ada-70cc461c520b&lang=en-us
you should have no problem upgrading from 256GB yourself, but Dell does not offer warranty on your own hardware.
