I think that has 2 mounts on the back of the front area. Those 2.5" drives fit in nifty slots at their bottoms and 2 screws attach each one at the tops (from the front). No cage, just a cool bare drive mount system. You need to remove the front panel to get to the screw holes. Just lift the tabs on the left and swing it out.
2.5 inch drives mount to the front cover on a 3670. The data cables and power cables however are not there. Drives get power from 6 pin cables from the motherboard.
I purchased a Kingston 120 GB SSD SATA III to use as my boot drive for my Dell Inspiron 3670. I just opened the case and noticed there are no power or SATA cable for my SSD. Could you please help, what kind of cabled do I need to get?
This shows a power cable coming from the motherboard to the SSD. What is the exact power cord model that works here? Other posts only list a splitter but that is not what I want to add just the SSD and connecting to the MB. (A link to a part on Amazon or other vendor would he helpful). My new Dell replaces a 10 yr old PC, so I don't have the most up-to-date knowledge :-)

The data cord is probably what you need, each drive takes a data and power cord.
I couldn't find the 6pin SATA power cable that connects to the motherboard. It's much smaller than a standard 6pin SATA power cable. I ended up splitting the existing SATA power cable (to the hard drive) with a right angle SATA Y splitter. If you don't use a right angle, the housing of the splitter may extend beyond the frame of the case. If that happens, the case won't close. Also, the right angle on the SAYA splitter must match the right angle of the SATA data cable (you also can use a SATA data cable with a small housing).
I have the data cable, I need the power cable. The photo by "speedstep Diamond" shows a long power cord, not a splitter. Someone else posted the "standard" SATA power does not fit into the power socket on the 3670 MB; it needs a smaller plug... this is what I'm looking for. I can't use the splitter mentioned because it is not long enough to support the existing SATA drive and an extra one attached to the chassis.

I used R494D and Sata Power Extension Cable N701D.
The other update you may want to consider is the 7VK45 365W power supply.
R494D and snap it in.
Or use a silverstone adapter.
The Optiplex R494D 2.5 inch caddy fits inside the 3.5 inch blue caddy.
The Silverstone adapter has all the mount points of a standard 3.5" hard drive, and it's only $12 . It holds two 2.5" devices stacked.
So the SSD Adapter caddy is 0R494D

Why not just screw them to the back of the front side of the case with 2 screws each?

You need a hdd data cable and just measure it. Make sure the end will fit into the ssd because they make a straight and right angled one.

I've done a full upgrade and answered how in the following posts (with pictures):
https://www.dell.com/community/Inspiron-Desktops/Inspiron-3650-upgrading-cooling-capacity/m-p/6233021#M9373
This case has brackets you can get directly from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/OptiPlex-Inspiron-Vostro-Bracket-X9FV3/dp/B01DRV10L6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1545264061&sr=8-5&keywords=dell+2.5+drive+caddy
I replaced the included 3.5 hard drive with an 8tb drive and add two 4tb 2.5 in the available trays.

Hi
did you find the right SATA power cable for the SSD? I'm in the same boat as you were.
thanks
