Inspiron 3847, Graphics Card Replacement
Going to upgrade graphics card so I can run 4 monitors. No gaming, doing stock markets. I found one that was suggested and would like to purchase, not sure if it's compatible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084M2ZFWV/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A34MSD9L83VULZ&psc=1
Also when I go to the NVIDIA website and look at the specs it does not list Windows 10, which is what is on the 3847. This card on amazon says it does support 10. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!

The card will not fit and will not run on your psu. You need an older model low profile card with lower power supply requirements but none can run 4 monitors. Like this one-- https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/pny-geforce-gt-710-graphics-card-gf-gt-710-2-gb-gddr5-pcie-20-x16-low-profile-dvi-d-sub-hdmi/apd/ab030438/graphic-video-cards?gacd=9646510-1025-5761040-0-0&dgc=st&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyur0BRDcARIsAEt86IAVzna9TEaBWMokqKRSUb6hhlcBCYbM6IoUrkfG7boD38jLlnWfkwsaAha9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
See the disclaimer on that Amazon page that says not for professional use.
Your old model is not meant for running 4 monitors. It would not be economical to upgrade the power supply or the video card. Money would be better spent for a new computer. Here are the cards you could have ordered--
• NVIDIA GeForce GT 625
• NVIDIA GeForce GT 635
• NVIDIA GeForce GT 705 see link above for this card

Yes you can connect up to 4 monitors in extended display w either one of the two 400 series quadro I suggested. Can you send me the link of discussion that someone said only 3 max can be done. The Dell one is newer but you do not need to buy from them Dell charges premium. You said you just need a card that supports 4 monitors nothing advanced.

does your system have a full sive PCIe 2.0 slot. is so your system will take that card even on your 300w power supply that card draws 35w with no power cable needed. the onboard video is what is limited to 3 displays.
