Inspiron 3910 CPU Upgrade

I have an Inspiron 3910 with a 12100 I3 processor and a 180 watt power supply. No video card. Can I upgrade to a 12700 CPU without upgrading the power supply???  I see Dell sells this computer preconfigured with a 12700H processor. Would this provide better performance? Either way, I can't currently find a 12700H CPU for sale.

180w psu is good enough to support i7-12700. make sure you upgrade to a better cooler than Dell's basic puny one as the i7 with many more core would need better cooling.

i7-12700 has same TDP as i5-12400. Intel Core i7 12700 vs i5 12400: performance comparison (nanoreview.net)

Dell sells 3910 preconfig w i5 and 180w psu as in this example of Product Spec:

338-CCWE : 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5- 12400 processor (6-Core, 18M C ache, 2.5GHz to 4.4GHz)
321-BHKZ : 180W PSU Chassis with Bronze E PA
210-BCLR : Inspiron Desktop 3910 (Intel(R ))

What will happen if the 12700 processor reaches for the the Maximum Turbo Power (PL2) number of 180 watts on a system with a 180 watt power supply? For reference, the 12400 processor has a Maximum Turbo Power (PL2) number of 117 watts.
