CN-0RY007 VOSTRO 200 / 400 INSPIRON 530 FoxConn: G33M02
G33M02 supports Core 2 Duo
G33M03 supports Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad and has 350W power supply not 300W. FM586 RN474 GN723 Version G33M03
The reason the G33M02 doesn't support Core 2 Quad processors
is because it only has 6 voltage regulator ICs, the DG33M03 has 11.
The following processors are compatible:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200(2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Depends on WHICH 530 you have. 530, 530a, 530b, 530c, 530d
Ram can be as much as 4 or 8 gigs but ONLY after updating bios.
If you have model 530b or 530d (2 Ram Slots) then only 4 GB of memory.
https://downloads.dell.com/bios/530_1018.EXE
Older bios doesn't recognize 2 Gig ram modules.
8 Gigs Ram
REQUIRES
1. Proper Bios.
2. Motherboard with 4 slots for ram.
3. EMT64 aka 64 bit capable cpu.
4. 64 bit version of windows XP/VISTA/7/8/10

Hey guys long time listener, first time caller.
I have had success with this particular model (among other dell models we play with) building a game machine for around $100. Starting with a base model early 530, 2.0ghz dual pentium XP 2gb ram machine.
My son and I did the following.
Updated bios.
Win 7 installed.
GTX750 gpu installed.
Xeon 5270 cpu with the 775-771 sticker and cut socket.
16 chip low density 2x2gb ram added for 6gb total.
I initially tried a quad core Xeon from another project, but it would not boot. So yes, its not the fastest box around, but we rolled the dice and it does *EXACTLY* what we were hoping it would do. It will actually run Rust on low res low settings. CSgo and less demanding games are no problem on monitor native res.
