Inspiron 530s, CPU upgrade?
I have an old 530s and I'm trying to upgrade to the max, now I know I need 4gb of RAM which I already going to get but I want to replace the processor from the Intel centrino, I believe; to the Intel Pentium E6500 2.93GHz Dual Core Processor. Now I was wondering if this is the best processor without killing the motherboard or if there is a better option.

Check the following forum thread for a list of compatible CPUs. And yes the E6500 will work.

Also as per the forum thread make sure of your BIOS version. You need 1.0.15 or higher.
