Inspiron 530s, upgrade suggestions
I have 530s. i have 2gb of ram. Harddrive went out.
what memory should i buy to put into it?
what harddrive should i put into it? i like the solid state drives for the speed.
please give suggestions even links if you want to

Take whatever you planned to spend on upgrades on this system and put those funds toward a newer system.
This system is ten years old -- and has a max RAM capacity of 4G, so you're not going to be adding much there. And while it'll take any standard SATA SSD you want, the weak CPU and low RAM ceiling will still hold back performance. Even a system 5-7 years newer would be a major upgrade.

My 530 started having errors in the bios. It soon failed to start and started to smoke. I replaced it with an an Inspiron 5680. So far, so good! ☺

Im currently working on upgrading an inspiron 350s. i found it in my basement. Its a hobby project. I have a 250gb 7200rpm hard drive. But ive been looking at this one

Im thinking of adding a 300-350 watt power suply and installing a proper low profile graphics card
