Inspiron 5675, motherboard component broke

hi,

I try to change my video card and this piece broke? Is my motherboard dead or can I fix it?

That is a surface-mount electrolytic capacitor. Either it or a replacement will have to be carefully soldered back on.

It's there for a reason, so can't really say how well it will work without it.

Swapping the motherboard is another solution.

It's a solid state capacitor -- the board likely won't run in stable fashion without it.  If no other damage was done, a shop capable of doing soldering should be able to replace it -- expect to pay an hour's labor charge or so.
