Yes it can. I just upgraded from my old MSI GTX 1080 Ti to an MSI GeForce RTX 4080 16GB VENTUS 3X OC ( approx: 12.7" long x 5.35" wide x 2.5" Thick ) in mine.
It was tricky getting it in there, but does fit (without the included support bracket).
I also put a Corsair CX 750 power supply in mine a while ago (had to cut a little on the back to fit it).
I know this is an old thread but might help someone.
Thank you, your post helped me! I had a 1660 Super, and just bought a 2070 Super. Was wondering about it fitting, and I'm glad I saw your post. And yes, I have already taken off the GPU support bracket.
Glad to have come across this. According to the metric measurements of your 4080, 322 x 136 x 63mm, I might be able to fit a card that's on special in my Inspiron but I might check to see what room you have to spare.
The card I'm looking to install is 324 x 142 x 70mm. The 2 mm is good but wondering how close I will get to the side of the case with the extra 6mm.
Confident it will work after reading this, if not I guess I'll be trying to build the Dell into another case lol I won't be able to return.
To determine if your case can accommodate a 12" video card, you should consult the manufacturer's specifications or measure the available space inside the case.

Short answer: NO!
According to the specs, the max length video card is 10.5".
Here's a thread that mentions video cards that do fit in the 5680...

12 inch card will not fit. Cards that are too tall behind the bracket are also a problem.
