Inspiron 570, Windows 7, Blue screens
Hi,
Suddenly getting blue screens on an Inspiron 570, also got one yesterday on an Optiplex 990, first time ever on that pc. Is this just a coincidence or has there been a Windows update glitch? Both pc's are running Windows 7.
Antivirus + Anti-malware software are on both pc's.
Thanks.

Thanks,
This community page has issues - took me at least 3 attempts to log in.
After being ignored by the previous contributor I visited an unrelated forum, I was advised that Malwarebytes might be the culprit. This makes sense since I was having exactly the same issue on another Dell running Malwarebytes. For antivirus I use Avast. I used Mcafee religiously until it encountered an issue it could not resolve - then I switched to Avast, quite a few years ago.
Apparently, Malwarebytes have now released a fix - so fingers crossed.

kr236rk02,
Post what the blue screen error message is on the forum. We can then look into the problem and help resolve it for you.

Thank you :)
Is there any way of screen-grabbing the blue screen though?
Otherwise I can only take a photo of it, which is going to be pretty poor quality.

The only 'Netio' result I can find is here - should I download (from where?) the missing program / driver please?
Thanks.

OK you win - I'm posted a link to a site with a dubious rating then ignored by a help forum. The Dell is still crashing and I have no clear idea what to do about it. For the first time since I started using computers I am now actively looking for a Mac.

what kind of antivirus and antimalware software are they?
if any of them is from Mcafee, you should uninstall that one and find a replacement.
I saw this in the Bleepingcomputer forum, though OS used was Win8.1 but may also apply to Win7
also saw these about netio.sys bsod errors in Microsoft community forums (topic 1) (topic 2)
