Inspiron 7790 AIO

Hi Ive just manually downloaded and ran the Dell Inspiron 5490/5491/7790 AIO Systems BIOS and after rebooting got the the following error code:

Critical Error Message

Version Build: 4400.08 UEFI ROM

Error Code: 2000-0511

Validation Code: 108273

Fan - The (Processor Fan) fan failed to respond correctly.

 

Can anyone help?

Please remove the Service Tag from your post. Never post a Service Tag in an open forum like this.

You can try this:

  1. Power off and unplug power adapter from both rear of PC and from wall.
  2. Press/hold power button on PC for ~30 sec
  3. Reconnect power adapter to PC
  4. Reconnect power adapter to wall
  5. Reboot

If that doesn't help you could try doing a BIOS recovery.

And if that doesn't help read Dell's BIOS update failure policy for systems in or out of warranty, whichever applies to your PC, and then contact Dell Tech Support. Have Service Tag handy.

@Twoknee  - Did you ever get this resolved by doing anything I suggested or something else?

My Dell Tech contact wants to know:

  • Did you ever have this fan failure previously?
  • Is there a "press F1 to continue" message that lets you boot to desktop? No "press to continue" message at all?
  • If there's a message, does pressing the specified key allow the PC to boot?
