Jpeg icons not displaying

Hello.

I have had my Dell Inspiron 3891 for a few months now and just recently the thumbnails for jpeg files are no longer being displayed.  I have restarted Window Explorer, I have looked on the internet and did all of the various suggestions and still no icons are being displayed for jpegs. It shows the blue mountain icon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Sam

Hi slbva20147,

Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11??

For Windows 10: (Click on "Update Now" button to download the installer > "Run" the installer to update the system)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

For Windows 11: Search for "Reset this PC"  >  Reset  >  Keep the current files.

1. Run > SYSDM.CPL > Advanced > Settings > Show Thumbnail instead of icon.

2. If step 1 doesn't work

Open Folder options > View > Display file Icon on thumbnail.
