Windows  10 removes dvd playback and packet writing software from previous versions of windows.  Movie maker is also deprecated as is TV viewing software etc.

I suggest you buy a USB2 Blueray Drive that has CYBERLOGIC POWER DVD AND POWER2GO

https://www.cyberlink.com/products/power2go-platinum/features_en_US.html?r=1

The cost of the drive is the same as buying the software without a drive.

Because its USB2 it F12 boots and works on ALL DELL MODELS that support booting windows from USB optical drive,

Not only does this drive restore the ability to write disks and format RW disks it does blueray video and blueray data disks as well.

having this means when your pc dies you can re install this functionality over and over again without ever having to go online.
