SSD + 3847
Hello all! Since I'm going to get every electron out of my 3847 what do I need to look for regarding SSD's?Since this is Haswell I think I can get a SATA 3 type but not a Nvme drive. Do I need to know more info than that? Any help appreciated.

I did as you said and deleted the 2 firefox entries in bold.I wasn't going to delete any HEKEY and other important sounding entries. it's ok though: I can post here through chrome instead of firefox. I explained it when it came time to un install it according to your directions.
I'm keeping the Revo uninstaller. That seems like a good program.
EDIT : Partial apologies to Dell: capcha is just all around awful. No matter the site. Thanks for trying Ron.

@oligopolycorp As I said, you should delete ALL leftovers that Revo identified, including any registry keys. Otherwise they may get carried over into a fresh FF install, and if any of them is causing the problem...well...now you know what happens...
Besides, if Revo created a System Restore point before uninstalling FF, you could have easily restored everything, including those registry keys, just by running a Win 10 System Restore using the restore point Revo set...
And if it's of any comfort, using FF, I can't open .pdf files (eg, Service Manuals) on Dell's support pages either directly in FF or having FF automatically launch Adobe Reader on my Win 10 desktop. But pdf files open either directly in FF or Reader on every other site I use. Never figured that out.
And yes, we all hate reCapcha here and everywhere else....

OK .It does make a restore point so I'll nuke all the non red entries when i run the un installer.

Still no guarantees you'll be able to log in here with FF after you nuke all the FF leftovers and do another clean FF install.
Just make sure Chrome is fully updated. There are a bunch of new patches to fix Google's latest batch of security holes...

Firefox ESR works fine on all OS including Macos.
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-esr
This is what I am using Right now to make this post.
There are performance issues now with ANY version of windows with 8 gigs of ram and a lot of things open. If you have 8 gigs or less ram install the X86 32 bit version of firefox for best results.

I still got the access denied even with FF ESR. I have 16 GB of RAM and only use 1 or 2 tabs at a time. The site has picked the solved comment not me.I'm not sure if JOceans post did the trick or one of speedstep's posts, that's why I hav'nt marked any as solved.

I marked JOcean's post as the solution as he was the first to pick up what I was puttin' down. But speedstep and Ron made valuable posts too. This was a community success so you should all feel warm and fuzzy inside.

One reason Access Denied login Error with Firefox on the Dell forum even when your login and password are correct happens with clean install of windows 10 being in a different time zone Setting for your PC. New Installs can be off by several hours and the forum knows what time zone you are trying to login with. I use firefox ESR almost exclusively and It works fine when Timezone and system clock is correct. The reason firefox does this is because certificate verification is based on actual time. Malware sets clock forward or backward to stop virus signature updates and stop the windows installer from fixing errors.
Once you fix the time zone the issue goes away.
Another scenario where time zone becomes "OFF" is when you dual boot between Ubuntu alongside windows. After Getting back to windows your time will be OFF by several hours.
Once you’ve booted Ubuntu, it writes the UTC time on the hardware clock. Now when you reboot to Windows, the time will be off by the exact amount as your local time differs from UTC. For example, the UTC time in India is UTC+5:30 so when the time in Windows 10 is off, it’s always 5 hours and 30 minutes behind the actual time.
This happens because Ubuntu stores time on the hardware clock as UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) by default. Windows 10, and even prior versions store the time as local time.
Note: According to Ubuntu wiki, “the advantage of having the hardware clock as UTC is that you don’t need to change the hardware clock when moving between time zones or when Daylight Savings Time (DST) begins or ends as UTC does not have DST or timezone offsets“. We’d recommend then that you shouldn’t use this method especially if you live in a place that uses Daylight Savings.
