inspiron 5680 possible case transfer?

iv probably spent an hour reading posts about a possible case transfer for better airflow along with more gpu space. problem is, iv seen that the mobo is proprietary and i see some posts saying you can transfer it because enough holes line up but others saying no you cant, iv also seen others saying you can transfer it if you cut things. So im kind of at a loss for what is right and if its possible to do
