AC Adapter doesn't charge and computer is dead
Hello,
I have been having some trouble. This morning my computer was low on battery so I plugged it in. My laptop only sporadically indicated that it was receiving power. After trying many times to get it to stay charging my computer went dead. I can't get it to charge any more. Also, the green light in the charger is on. What should I do?

Unplug the system, disconnect the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec. Remove and reinstall the memory module(s).
Plug in the adapter only - no battery. If the system will power up, but not with the battery connected, the battery is bad. Replace it with a new one.
If the system won't power up with a good AC adapter after the foregoing reset procedure, the mainboard is bad.

One would hope that the other person followed the troubleshooting steps.
