About upgrading my RAM
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 5570 and I'm thinking about upgrading my RAM to 16Gbs instead of 8Gbs, I have chosen an 8Gbs RAM stick from Crucial (see below) and I now have my stock SK Hynix 8Gbs RAM (see below), So I'm wondering if I can use those two RAM sticks together in the same machine because I can't, for now, sell my original RAM stick and get two Crucial RAM sticks. Will it cause a problem? Crucial: https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfs824a SK Hynix: https://www.skhynix.com/eolproducts.view.do?pronm=DDR4+SDRAM&srnm=HMA81GS6AFR8N&rk=30&rc=module

It should work....
I have done the same except that I had 1 slot of 1x 16Gb RAM (Hynix) and have added another 16Gb (Crucial) and this working perfect now. 32Gb is a little bit of overkill but now I have a RAM drive and the best: the RAM is working in dual channel mode now!

I have a similar situation. Dell i5-1135G7 and has 16 gb ram in one slot and it does say SODIMM.... i want to go to 32 or possibly higher.
Should i add another 16 gb in slot 2 and if so how do i know which to buy ?
or, should I just remove the current 16 gb and buy a single 32 gb stick? which is better with less issues and again, do i need a certain speed? Just not sure what I need to buy ?
thanks very much
