That's the only battery option for this model system.

Unfortunately, with an entry-level system like this one, battery life isn't one of the design priorities.  For that you'd need a higher-line model such as an XPS 15.

You can throttle back the CPU performance, dim the screen and set the system to spin down the hard drive or shut off the SSD when it's not being used, but that likely might stretch your battery another hour -- the  real issue is that the system is designed to a price point, not for maximum mobility on battery.
