Thank you so much for your replies and recommendation. Much appreciated. Your replies were pretty similar, so I'm happy that it's something very obvious that I've overlooked.
I've taken the necessary steps (hopefully) and am still waiting for my laptop to start. Currently it's reinstalling my system and software (been going on for more than a couple of hours). I'll keep you posted on the progress.
I seem to have hit a small issue, the OS currently being installed is in French and even the keyboard seems to act as a French layout. Where did I go wrong as the language option did not come up before.
As always, an recommendation would be highly appreciated.
@nyc10036 Thanks for coming back. I just went as per the links in the responses and all of them guided me to do the same activity, basically create the media tool to create bootable USB drive. The never got the option to choose the language.

On another PC, you need to download, install, and run Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB flash drive.
Use that USB flash drive to install Windows 10.

Did you clone your old HDD to the new SSD?

Nowhere have you mentioned installing Windows onto the new drive. That must be done:

@The Adder
Probably not.
He mentioned that his hard drive failed or was failing so a clone may not have worked anyway even if he knew to do that.

You choose which Windows 10 version and also the language on the first screen when installing.

You choose the language during the install as I recall.

I've been able to change the language of the operating system by directly downloading the software from Microsoft rather than Dell.
Fingers crossed but I'd be fine. The laptop's much faster too.
Thanks again for all your support.
