Complaints - where to send a written compliant?
Hello there,
I have had a disappointing experience with the purchase of my Dell product and I want to put my complaint in writing.
I am trying to find an email address to write to. The only one I have found ANZ_CC_Cust_Serv@dell.com keeps bouncing back to me with the message that the mailbox is full.
Short of going to the small claims court, does anyone know of another way to contact Dell in writing? I don't want to phone because I want a record of the problem.

So instead of being open and transparent by posting a reply here in the community, I have been getting private messages from someone called Dell-Cares
And I'm getting the run around there as well.
From DELL-Cares: Hello, I’m your Dell virtual assistant. I see you've opened a thread.
In order for me to review your system configuration, may I have the Service Tag / Express Service Code/ Order Number?
Refer the below link to find the Service Tag:
https://goo.gl/qc4MY8
From DELL-Cares: Hello, I haven’t yet received the Service Tag / Express Service Code. I’ll be able to review your system configuration as soon I receive it from you.
From me: I just want to know the email address to where I can send my complaint.
I haven't received my device yet. That's the problem.....
From DELL-Cares: I am still waiting for the Service Tag / Express Service Code/ Order number. I’ll be able to review your system configuration as soon as I receive it from you. If you are unable to provide the details then one of our community members may assist you with the query/issue.
From me: I don't have one

Well it seems Dell still want to approach this using private messages. Here is the latest PM
DELL: Hi, I 'm very sorry to hear of what has happened. This is not the experience we want our customers to have.
Could you provide the order #, registered owner's name via direct message? I'll have it checked and we do not have a direct email address to provide. I'm sorry.
-Susanna
ME: I am surprised that Dell don't have an email address. After some searching I found ANZ_CC_Cust_Serv@Dell.com
But my email has bounced back to me because the Dell email address inbox is full.
Can you please follow this up. If I can't lodge my complaint in writing this way, then I have found another way to lodge my complaint: https://www.accc.gov.au/contact-us/contact-the-accc/report-a-consumer-issue
I believe this matter to be serious. By the way, the ACCC also say to put your complaint in writing.
I have wasted enough of my time with this.
And here is the email I have been trying to send
### 4rd attempt to email Dell ###
The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending this message later, or contact the recipient directly.
Hello,
My name is Drew Barber and I would like to register my dissatisfaction about my purchase of a laptop.
Attached are the details of that purchase and the chat log for that purchase.
The purchase of this laptop has been very disappointing for me. I am not a rich person, so I thoroughly research prices for the best deal.
I choose Dell for my purchase. I was very impressed with the price for the product I was buying. Many things were considered to make the purchase: price, specs, delivery time.
On the Dell website, the information provided was that the laptop was in stock and available for immediate delivery. And that if I ordered through the chat feature, I could take advantage of this. It appears this is false advertising. As of the 12 January, the website was still advertising this.
Now I realise that I didn't qualify for next day delivery but was told by the sales person that the ETA would be Tuesday the 5th January. My order confirmation received via email confirmed this. However, when Dell finally sent my order, it was next day delivery.
On Thursday, I phoned customer care to query where the order was and was told it was now being shipped on the 5th. As of 14:00 WST on the 7th, your record show that it has not yet been shipped.
Customer care explained the delay was because a delivery date was not booked in? Even though I had verbally confirmed with the sales person with a purchase order confirmation that delivery would be on the 5th. I quote the chat log "The delivery is by 5th of January that's the maximum time frame"
I queried the website statement about in stock and available for immediate delivery and was told this was immediate delivery. That is not what I was told when I placed my order. I asked for the email address for customer complaints and was told there wasn't one - phone only. After a search on the internet I found the email address as well as that of the CEO of Dell.
As far as my first contact with Dell goes, I give it one star. And this is going down everyday I try to contact Dell.
I don't know how you can fix this or compensate for disappointment, but I would like you to try.
Thank you,

DELL: Thank you for writing to us here & sharing the issue with the order. Apologies for the delay in response due to the spike in the volumes.
I understand your call out that this should not have happened in the first place & things should have been explained to you before the order was being placed.
The estimated ship date on an order is being provided so that you know within what time you can expect the order.
It is not mandated that the order can be built & get shipped within that time frame shared, as there are a lot of factors that can affect the order.
A few of the reasons for the delay are part shortages, weather conditions & logistics.
We always have been able to fulfill all the orders before time but due to the current situation, there is some delay in having it completed.
I see the order has been delivered on the 13th, please confirm the order delivery.
In regard to the mails not getting delivered, I'll have it checked with the regional teams as I do not have the visibility if there is a different email address where you can write to cite your issues.Re: Complaints - where to send a written compliant?

ME: So the advertising on the website "In stock and available for immediate delivery" was what?
A lie? False advertising? Misrepresentation? Something the ACCC should know about?

DELL: Hi, I'm very sorry to hear of what has happened. This is not the experience we want our customers to have.
Please remove the order number from the public post for the security of your personal information.
Also, I have escalated this case to our regional team to review nd contact you for you to provide the feedback/complaint.

Dell: Good Day!
In relation to the order# xxxxxxxxx I see that the order has been delivered. I have attached the copy of POD for your reference.
I will go ahead and archive this case. Please feel free to reply to this email for any clarification or help.
Happy to help you.
Happy to help? You haven't done anything.
My reply: Hello, This case was never about getting the laptop. I expected it to come. I won't be archiving this case and will be pursuing it with the ACCC. Thank you,

Another surprise for me in my dealings with Dell, is that not one reply from them was posted to this community. Every response was a private message. Which raises the question: Why is Dell trying to hide this?
Also, Dell did not once offer an explanation as to why the order wasn't despatched as advertised. "In stock and available for immediate delivery."
And Dell archived the case as being resolved. You wish.....
