Cursor jumping around opening windows
I have a Dell Inspiron 731 R. The cursor keeps jumping around and opening
windows many times I can't control it. I have tried using the mouse settings, device
settings trying to disable the touch pad but it doesn't have any settings for the touchpad in
the device manager and now where to update or delete drivers for it.
There is a setting for the dell touchpad with the mouse settings which shows the
touchpad but when I select the dell touchpad settings it does nothing. I can bearly
type without the cursor jumping around the screen. How can I disable it. Please Help!

If you connect a wireless mouse you can disable the touchpad when the mouse is connected.

The reply gives only a temporary fix. What is causing the problem and how to have a total fix so you can?
