DC Power Jack
Inspiron 7591 2-in-1
The power cord will not fully insert into the DC power jack. Need to know what could possibly be the cause and how to resolve. I cannot establish a solid connection to charge my laptop. Any help will be appreciated.

I ended up replacing the DC jack. It is working fine. Could not find a replacement from Dell. Bought it from Amazon.

Assuming you are using a proper OEM Dell power adapter, the DC receptacle on the laptop might have a mangled center pin. Another possibility might be dust lodged in the DC power receptacle on the laptop, or inside the adapter's barrel connector.
