DELL INSPIRON 3501 CAPS LOCK LED PROBLEM

I have purchased a dell Inspiron 3501 from Dell's Exclusive Store. After 4 days I found that sometimes caps Lock key light always turn on and only switch off when I restart my laptop. As Only 11 days have passed can I get a replacement for a new laptop?

Does dell give a refurbished laptop in replacement or give me a fresh brand new piece. How can i know this. Does dell give in writing that there are replacing a new piece and what dell does with this replaced laptop?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

To inquire about repairs, refund, or replacement you should call Dell tech support.

I can help here. I f you search my user id you will see this is a big problem with Dell. I am now on my third laptop in a year. I bout my first dell inspiron at the end of July 2021. First the cpu fan crapped out so i had to wipe it clean and send it in. It came back and then the caps lock light would not turn off unless I rebooted it. I then had a tech come to my house and replace the keyboard. It worked for a week then I started again. I worked again for a long time with the people in India on this forum and my warranty kept dwindling down, I finally broke down and sent it in for repair and then waited and waited as they could not get the parts. So then they sent me a brand new Inspiron 7420. I had that for 3 weeks now and the same problem with the caps lock started after 10 days. I am at 3 weeks and am now trying to get something else as i have had three inspirons all with the same problem and tech support who have wasted my warranty. Even though I got a laptop I only got my old warrant transferred to the new one.

Contact the store/seller -- it's up to them.

I am on my 4th Inspiron with the same problem. It is something they will not admit is wrong. I was upgraded to a new inspiron 7420 only to get downgraded to the 5406 that I had before the 7420 with the same problem and they never fixed it!!!

I would be very careful and document everything via video and save all the communications as I have. When you have everything documented there are people out there to help i found out

So, I am now on my FITH inspiron. This is a brand new 7420 that was built in China last week and I got it two days ago. In less than 48hrs the caps lock problem started all over again which I find totally ridiculous that they can't fix this problem. and in less than 12 months I have gone through 5 Inspiron laptops and at the rate they are going I will get number SIX!!!!

So today i called Dell advanced Resolution Services in India and spoke with the person I had been dealing with. I explained what was happening to which he told me it was not possible. So, I asked him to read his email that I sent Saturday and check out the video i had uploaded to google and shared. He put me on hold then came back and told me that he had to escalate it higher. It only took 4 replacements in less than a year to get this far And unfortunately my warranty will be over by the time I get the next replacement and then they will tell me they can't help me.

I have had both. But the problem is that they won't admit or fix the problem. I have had 5 Inspiron laptops in less than 12 months. The great people told me that the caps lock issue was not possible. Then they watched one of many videos documenting the problem. Now I am waiting again while the warranty drains down.
