Dell 3521 Low Volume Issue

Recently, my Win 10 64 bit Inspiron 3521 volume has been reduced by about 50%.

I do not recall any RealTek driver updates, however Win 10 just updated to the 1809 version.

I am not sure if that is the issue or not. All my audio settings are as recommended by Microsoft and other forums.

Intel Display Audio did an update and I don't know if that caused the low volume issue or if it would even affect the speaker output.

I am curious if I can go back to the Original Realtek driver since I am sure dell did some updates since I purchased this laptop.

Any suggestions or diagnostic instruction would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Laptops rarely-almost never-get driver updates. All your driver update must come from Dell. Make sure you have this Dell audio driver--

I doubt the driver has anything to do with the volume problem. There are F keys that control the volume as well as volume control buttons and settings in apps. Right click on the volume icon on the lower right and try fixing it using the sound troubleshooter.
