Hi Limlimrock,

Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

Throttling is necessary to keep your computer from overheating.  There are responses to your post from last month that explain this.

Here is a short video from the Dell Knowledge base you may find helpful:

How to Stop GPU Throttling

If you need additional assistance, please contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information and your computer's service tag number. Thanks.

That temp is perfectly fine, Intel has a TDP of over 100 on most of their chips. Definitely not a thermo issues.

The lower clocks is a power issue and not a thermal issue. AMD designed the chips to run at 15 to 25W. Dell implemented the 15W variant. Hence, to keep the power at 15W, the GPU clocks down.

Also, the APU has 105 degree C TDP. You won't see any throttling before 90 deg C.

Any way of getting this to not overheat when playing games. I know this is not a game machine but surely the cpu is capable. Same situation cpu and gpu heats up and then is crippled and cools down after 10 seconds.

I am an owner of a Dell 5575 that is overheating to the point that it burns my skin on contact. I have replaced the thermal paste, downclocked the CPU, and I am having so many issues that I have started using my much older Lenovo G505s Laptop as it still works and has far less issues when performing everyday tasks.

I expect much better from Dell products than this.
