Dell 5577 no fan

Hi I have a dell 5577 when I power up to the bios the fans do not come on at all how would I know if there working or broken.

Run the Dell diagnostics - f12 at powerup.  It will verify the operation of the fan.

Thank I went into bios and did a diagnostic test it works

Hi I have the lap top on no fans spinning at all is slowly getting warm how to fix

Please run Dell On-board ePSA diagnostic again to check the Fan .

After quick tests, select Fan, and then click Thorough Test Mode. Report back any error code on the fan.

Note: The fan will either come on and make a loud noise or will not come on and give a error code on the fan

Also, check the Event Log ( ePSA Diagnostic) after the fan test

hi the fan does come on but when I power up the laptop no fans come on when I am at the windows desktop still no fans I don't want to use the laptop incase it damages the main board is there any way to get them working or are they turned off or anything.

I don't think there's a way to turn fan (or fans) on and off.

The fan usually come on when the computer is overheating. The fan help keeps the computer to stay cool by circulating air to or from the computer.
