Dell 7378 Intel HD Graphics 620, Supports 4k monitor?

I have the team that heads the title of this thread. And I want to use it with an external monitor.

My question is the following. Can that 620HD chart support the use of work in an external 4K or would it be better to go for it safely and use a 2K monitor?

I only use Android Studio for mobile development applications and applications for editing coding.

Sorry for my English

Yes, the HD 620 can support a 4K display.  I'm using a 4K display on a much older Intel HD 4600 GPU.  However, on that system you will probably need to use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.  The HDMI port might not provide enough bandwidth for 4K at 60 Hz.  Also note that you would NOT be able to use a USB-C dock or "mini-dock" if you want 4K.  You will need to use the USB-C port only for the display in order for it to have enough bandwidth to run 4K at 60 Hz.

And fyi, you should not use "2K" to describe a display resolution.  Some people think of that as 2560x1440 and others think of it as 1920x1080.  2K is technically a resolution used in films, but it is closest to 1920x1080, so when 2K is used to discuss display resolutions, it is correct to use it for 1920x1080.  If you were thinking of 2560x1440, that is called QHD or 1440p.

The cables are pretty straightforward, but first you need to determine what type of input your display has. For 4K 60 Hz, it will either have DisplayPort, Mini-DisplayPort, or HDMI 2.0. You can get cables that have USB-C on one end and any of those other connectors on the other. Go with one of the DisplayPort options if you can, since those cables will be simpler and likely cheaper because USB-C ports output DisplayPort natively, whereas the HDMI 2.0 cables include a converter chip built-in — but any of those options should work. In terms of specific recommendations, I have cables made by StarTech and Cable Matters because they consistently make quality products, but there are certainly other good choices out there.

Thank you, that's great news.
Which USB cable would you recommend me to use? The world of usb type-C is very complex and I would not know which one to use with a monitor.

And thanks, I usually overlook the terms of the screen resolutions.
