Please update BIOS (even if you have the latest version).

Install the Dell Power Manager (DPM) application from this link or Microsoft store.  The new Dell Power Manager features allow you to access the Thermal Management option to adjust thermal settings based on your requirements

Please run a CPU & GPU stress test using Dell Support Assist & check if there is any thermal error detected.

My G5 15 overheats if I try any games at all. This is not a gaming machine as Dell sells it. All there support is in India? keep trying to send a tech out while I'm working? Don't understand that I'm NOT home? Worst laptop ever and support is just lip service...Cut and paste . Now they are have escalated the case to the higher team? Just wasting my time and stalling. The owers of Dell have sold the support to India and completely block themselves from any support issues while selling junk. Just check the BBB site for complains. I did....Laptop will be a door stop soon....Never buy Dell
