Since the battery is a safety issue, remove it from the system immediately and dispose of it outside your home or office.  The system will run fine on AC only until you purchase a replacement.

For the slow bootup, beyond reducing the number of startup items, the speed is highly dependent on the storage medium.  That means the hard drive is the weak link in the system, as it is by nature slow.

Replacing the hard drive with a native SATA SSD will speed your boot times significantly.

Hi,

What was the boot time before it goes up ?

I think an SSD disk can improve your boot time.

There is something we can do to troubleshoot this problem effectively:

  1. Download and Install Windows Performance Toolkit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/get-started/adk-install
  2. Just install the "Windows Performance Toolkit" package.
  3. Record a trace using Windows Performance Recorder using these options: https://justpaste.it/1g4sx
  4. Compress the ".ETL" file and the".NGENPDB" folder (very important)
  5. Share it through https://www.transfernow.net/en/ or any other file sharing platform.

I'll analyze your trace file and give you feedback.

While offers of help are part of the reason for the forum, it is better NOT to share data through links posted here.

There is no way to  verify the validity of the site to which the user is asking you to post - proceed with extreme caution.

A SSD upgrade will help speed up the boot process and responsiveness of the computer. I was getting just under 2 minutes with the original HDD in my Inspiron 3583, now it's ~15 seconds after upgrading to a M.2 NVMe SSD!

However, your system appears to only support a 2.5" SATA drive, which isn't as fast as a M.2 NVMe, but still faster than a HDD. I predict a boot time of around 30 seconds if you decide to upgrade.

@Rahulshastri Get any SSD (WD or Samsung, etc).  I replaced mine into a Samsung SSD and got a boot time of about 15-20 secs. My SSD is only 240 GB an it's sufficient. I converted the original SATA into external storage.

Any 2.5" SATA SSD drive should work, and it doesn't have to be bought directly from Dell.
