Dell Inspirion N4110 SSD Replacement Problem

I tried to replace the HDD of my laptop with an SSD and I copied everything that was on my HDD to the SSD but when I turned the laptop on with the SSD in it, it says Operating System Not Found or Operation System Not Found. Help will be greatly appreciated.

@Isaque2808

Copy and paste will not work.

You need to image the old to the new or make a fresh W10 install on the new SSD.

Welcome to the Dell Community @Isaque2808

Did you "COPY" or "IMAGE" the old HDD to the new SSD???

Best regards,

U2

@Isaque2808

@JOcean  is correct most people use Macrium Reflect.

This is the link to download W10 Media Creation tool, if you want to install W10 without all the Dell bloatware.

@U2CAMEB4ME is spot on, that will not work. For a good program that will make imaging or cloning easy try Macrium Reflect Free. That is available here and there is very good support by way of tutorials and videos.

Can you give me the link for Windows 7? Someone that works at Dell said my computer can only do Windows 7.

@Isaque2808

You should have no problem installing W10.

I install W10 on E6420XFR's with no problem.

2nd GEN CPU just like yours.

Just use W7 and W8 drivers if needed.
