Dell Inspiron 13-700 series Windows 10 Audio Stuck on screen w/no audio

Have seen this post https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General-Read-Only/volume-control-stuck-on-screen-not-working-not-adjustable/td-p/4640956 with a solved on it.

This however is not the problem all the time.

Only solution I have so far as mentioned in post is to disable the Speakers from sound settings. That gets rid of the annoying volume control on your desktop but doesn't solve having audio, duh, right.

I know for a fact it's not a pinched cable because sound works as it should on my Linux OS, which is my primary OS on the system (all my systems). Thank goodness I rarely have to use Windows, but it would be nice to be able to have sound on the rare occasions I have to use Windows.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
