Currently having the same problem with the same model. I can now only use my laptop in its folded position so my keyboard doesn’t spam keys. I’ve reset my drivers & did the troubleshooting through the control panel. Neither have worked. I thought it might be hardware but my keyboard light is fully functional. Currently trying a system update thru windows 7 because my windows 10 update launcher won’t stop preparing the update.

You can see if there is something lodged underneath the keys and the backplate, depending on the model of Dell laptop you have. If you notice that those particular keys don’t depress the same depth as other keys, then that very well may be it, especially since those keys are adjacent to each other. If not, as others have suggested, the ribbon connector from the keyboard to the motherboard may need to be reseated, if it has worked itself slightly loose over time. That would be the next thing.

The good thing about Dells though is that if all else fails, replacement Dell keyboards are pretty darned cheap (so many on the market), and easy to replace. I’ve done tons of them for work. Of course, that’s if your laptop is no longer under warranty. Don’t take it apart if it still has warranty life left on it if that means something to you, because it will void your warranty the second you unscrew it. Good luck, there are plenty of Youtube videos for just about every Dell model out there that can show you step-by-step on how to do this, so you can see if it is something you can do yourself if need be.
