Dell N7010 CPU upgrade. Can I use i7 640m?

Hello,

so I have an old N7010 laptop. I already upgraded to SSD and I changed one ram stick to total of 6GB. This is a version with ATI GPU. Laptop is enough for its purposes but I want to upgrade CPU to best possible for this mobo since these old CPUs are really cheap now so it's no biggy. I've been looking for info and I found out that I can use 2 cores, 4 threads CPUs only and quad cores won't work since BIOS won't allow it. So now I have a question which i7 can I use with this laptop? Of course I'd want i7 640m since it's best in the series but will it work? Same socket, same TDP 35W, same Tmax=105C so same power supply should work fine and cooling system should manage (I'll use arctic silver 5 and clean everything anyway). Can someone make that clear?

greetings.

Should work - these shipped with the option of that model CPU.
