Dell Update app doesn't work
Dell Update app doesn't work on my Inspiron 3505. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times; I've even gone to the .exe file and placed a link on my desktop, but nothing--absolutely nothing--happens. It's as if the app consists of nothing but a call--there's not even a return. How do I get this to work? Or should I just junk it?
BTW, I can't even get the website's driver search to work--it just goes off and never comes back.)

Uninstall Dell update using this fixit.]
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
and delete Dell client management service if it's there
Reboot
and choose to install this version

If nothing works you may use Dell support assist to check for updates.

You could just use Dell Support Assist (which does all that Dell Update can do and more).
