Dell Update app issues
Hi, whenever I open the Dell Update app, the Dell Update loading screen covers my laptop for 5-10 minutes however during this time my laptop doesn't recognize that the app is open. I then get to the main screen. I click on the check button to check for updates but the check button remains dark for 1-2 minutes and then I get the message "Application Error, an unexpected error occurred during the last action, the operation was aborted" I click ok. I then get "Warning: A problem occurred while checking for updates. The operation was aborted" The retry option is greyed out, the only option is close. Also, my last check is unavailable and my last update is never (it isn't).Here's my system information: Laptop: Inspiron 3585
Dell Update version: v3.0

Have you tried to uninstall the program and rebooting then reinstall?
I recommend you to only use the Dell SupportAssist to look for updates on your system going forward. You could uninstall the Dell Update app because it is redundant.
