Did hardware scan using SupportAssist. Battery-test scan is failing - Inspiron 5558 Laptop.
a) This scan is for BIOS battery or the mane power battery?
b) I am getting 5 continuous beep from my laptop, in infinite loop. What it is complaining about?

5 beeps means a weak or missing reserve (CMOS) battery, or a faulty CMOS clock chip.
Replace the coin cell battery.

hi Dell_User_ap
I’d suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and check if the beep pattern repeats.
5 Beeps on the system means’ Real Time Clock (RTC) power fail’ and the cause of the issue is ‘CMOS battery failure’. I’d suggest that you update BIOS and chipset driver on your computer to check for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, then download the BIOS from BIOS section and chipset from chipset section onto the system and install it.

Please let me know the findings.
