Dockstation WD19S resolution bug when monitors return from sleep
Hello all.
Recently my company replaced my old Dell laptop and dockstation by a Latitude 5521 and a WD19S dockstation.
I use the laptop closed and attached to the dockstation 2 Dell monitors running at 1920x1080 (one with HDMI and another one with displayport) both without a problem.
The issue that I`m having is when the monitors return from from sleep/power saving mode, usually the monitor plugged with displayport (same cable and monitor that I've been using for years on the old setup), the resolution returns all messed up (aatached a picture). This happens like 80% of the time, and some times (like 20%) this happens on the monitor plugged with HMDI.
To "fix" the issue, I have to disconnect the cable and them connect is back.
Any idea on what is going on? I have all the drivers at latest version.

So I tried on an older dock version (WD15) with this laptop and I havent noticed the issue.
So I'm not sure if it is this dockstation (WD195) that has some issue on it or the laptop that has some issue with that dockstation. I dont have access to another laptop at the moment to test on the WD195 dockstation

Alternate dock/Notebook ?? so that we can isolate the root cause ?

Additional info: When this bug happens, if I check the resolution on Windows for the "bugged" screen, it still shows the correct resolution (1920x1080).

I have the exact same issue with the exact same dock. However, my laptop is a Precision 7560. So, I conclude the problem is with the dock. I too have the latest firmware. It’s a very annoying problem. I use the same inconvenient working around of having to unplug/replug the monitor cable in the back of the dock. This dock is so expensive. I can’t believe it has such an easy to reproduce issue. Poor testing? Come on, Dell, tell us the solution!

I have been suffering this same issue as well for a couple of years now. I am now trying to get a fix as I have now upgraded the monitors and it still does it. The HDMI is the only port giving me this issue. Anyone ever find a resolution to this issue?
