Dual drive computer, unable to load game.

Question

I bought my son a new Inspiron laptop. It has a 500 GB SATA optical drive and a smaller solid state drive.  He is trying to load a GTA game but the computer says there is not enough space.  I think the SSD may be full, but how do we get it to load on the bigger drive?  Any help would be appreciated by this noob.  Thanks.

Please list Dell model number and version of windows. Example: Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10

If you don't know, type msinfo32 onto the search box, stroll down to System Model, you should see it now.

Sounds like your trying to install to the C: drive which has not enough room. Do you say you have a SATA 500gb Optical drive? Is that true? or do you have a 512 GB SATA Hard Drive? If so then you'll have to direct your install to your hard drive or whatever the hard drive letter is? If you can't direct the install to your hard drive you won't be able to install that game. Which would lead you to upgrade your C: SSD to a larger SSD

To get this information you need to log on to support, enter your model number and most importantly Enter your Service Tag Number.

That will open all the hardware information on your Particular notebook, You'll see all your upgrade paths. You'll see all your specifications for your particular notebook. You should download and read your Service Manual there you will find out how to open your notebook. and see how to change out your SSD and Hard Drive.
