That sounds like a system password and the only way to access the system is to call Dell tech support and after confirming you are the owner, they can help you access the system.
I was told that if I call, Dell will charge me $30 just to give me a code. That's a lot of money just for a simple code. Is this true? If so, couldn't Dell just as easily provide a way for owners to verify their ownership online? Thereby, a verified user could simply enter their lock code, and thus receive their unlock code. It would be simple, efficient and most of all...affordable.
