Excessive power and CPU usage for Intel(R) Proset/Wireless Services on Inspiron 5570 after Win10 update KB4511552
After updating to the 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for my Inspiron 5570, the CPU usage has been excessive. The primary culprits are the Intel PROset/Wireless Event Log Service and Zero Configure Service. The CPU usage jumps to 25% (+/- 5%), and remains at those levels. While the AC adapter is plugged in the cooling fan is constantly at full speed. After uninstalling the update I haven't been able to replicate the issue. Has this occurred for anyone else?

Three years later....but I am now experiencing the same issue on my XPS 13 2 in 1. CPU usage ranges from 29 - 36% continuous. Did you sole your issue?

I am having the same issue today (Mon, 9 Jan 2023) with my Inspiron 13 7378 2-in-1. I am running Windows 10 Version 22H2 (19045.2364) with the latest patches. i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz, 12.0 GB RAM
CPU usage for this task is in the 25 to 30 percent range. The Intel Driver Support Assistant says my drivers are all up to date. The comment of 26 Oct 2019 has a link called "Identify your Dell" to the page for how to locate your service tag, but then says to please not post any service tags. I can copy/paste any more details about my system that are needed.
