Firmware update on Support Assist but not Dell Update
Hi - I see a critical update recommended on Dell Support Assist, but when I check for updates on Dell Update there are no updates available.
Is there a reason for this? Should I trust Dell Support assist and be comfortable installing the update?
It is a firmware update for my harddrive.
I have Inspiron 7577 in case that helps

Laptops rarely get updates since the hardware is integrated on the board. Believe your download page and skip Support Assist that frequently does not distinguish between laptops and desktops. Dell customizes the drivers for your exact motherboard. If it is a bios update that is recommended, it must be downloaded and installed by you, not Support Assist.
