G3 Bios upgrade = Charging and CPU Problem
Dear Dell Forum.
I have a dell G3 3579 laptop (spec: CPU: i7-8750H // GPU: GTX1050Ti // Ram: 16Gb // SSD 512Gb +256Gb). Thanks to Windows 10, my bios version has been updated ( v1.8.1 to v1.10).
The charging is always turns on and off and the batteries are discharging during operation. The core clock also bounces between 1.5 and 4 GHz under performance. It causes problems for me because I cannot use my laptop for those tasks why I bought it for. Can you please help me what can I do with my laptop? It is not possible to downgrade the BIOS to an older version. Is there any upcoming BIOS update which may can fix this?
This is not an "issue". This system model uses a hybrid charging method. When you run graphics or CPU intensive application the system will use power from both the battery and the charger to run the process. During this, the battery will drain out even if it is plugged in. This will not be observed if you use non-intensive applications. This applies to all of these Inspiron Laptops = Inspiron 7467/7577/G3 15 3579/G3 17 3779/G5 15 5587/G7 15 7588/G3 15 3590/G5 15 5590/G7 15 7590/G7 17 7790
