G5 15 5500 Alienware Command Center problems
Hey everyone, Three weeks ago I bought a Dell G5 15 5500 laptop ( 10th gen i7, rtx2060, 512ssd) in the Netherlands. Unfortunately after a week the alienware command centre (ACC) decided to keep loading indefinitely and no online fixes were available except for reinstalling the ACC. Low and behold reinstalling, following the steps by Dell online support, caused an error and it did not work.
After calling Dell they told me to just reinstall windows completely. Okay, once that's fine by me. So I reinstalled and after tinkering around a bit somehow after the first error messages I was able to install the ACC correctly. Yeah....But... now two weeks later it is happening again and I do not want to keep reinstalling my entire computer every month.
Does anyone have any tips, fixes, workarounds? Without the ACC I can not control the light bar in the laptop or control the performance of the laptop.
Thank you already for thinking with me!
Edit:
- Reinstalling did not work
- Installing older versions did not work

I bought a laptop with the LED not working on arrival.
I spent all day with tech support to be told, well we can send someone to pick it up in 5 working days.
until then tough.
She actually looked at drivers for a 2015 model too.
I'm really disappointed in this. @DELL-Cares

The problem appears to be the Alienware Software itself. Almost anything can set it off. I have found that re-installing windows, then all your other software then finally Alienware makes it the most stable. Not fun, but it seems to work. Other solutions may be possible, but for me only this one is stable.

Uninstall the acc and all it's other programs like oc control and nahimic etc. Then install command center again and before opening it install oc controls, restart, and connect to ur internet before opening it, now it should work fine and the problem shouldn't occur

@just0b0red my question with this situation is, can we just uninstall ACC? My son has this same laptop and its nothing but problems!! Then! I made the BIG MISTAKE of taking it to Geek Squad at Best Buy, because Dell couldn't help us because they weren't understanding the problems so i paid to have another 8gb of ram installed and that price included a year of service from geek squad. Unfortunately those people don't know what they are doing either. I went rounds with them. After going back to them 2 times for the problems they didn't fix and the problem they CAUSED., it still isn't right. Don't get me wrong its usable snd will be fine but then u go to start it up and it loads with a clean version of windows! NOTHING THERE (we thought) then we just have to continually restart until it load with my sons stuff!!! Last night, he tried to shut down and, he thought, Brick Riggs was running a process that wouldn't close, he tried to end task, it did nothing. An hour later! He had to hard boot it. So i restarted it this morning expecting it to have nothing, but it loaded normal except it seems Alienware wants an update that involves the firmware. I don't want to even mess with it. Can we just uninstall Alienware command center? He is a Steam user, everything is there. Also, he didn't use Steam in the beginning, well, kinda i bought games from there. He was 9 hes 13 now. Hes very smart Yes i got a 9yr old a computer. We don't have $ but he had cancer i would have ripped the moon from the sky had he asked for it. So.. can we uninstall it or just ignore it? Ty in advance.
