Hard disk replacement for INSPIRON 5567

Question

Error message on Support Assist that my hard disk need to be replaced. Now need to buy a new one. Bought while in Dubai and now I am back to home country.

Dell 5567 15.6-inch Laptop (Core i 7 Gen 7/8 GB/2 TB/Windows/Integrated Graphics)

I was wondering which hard disk can I buy online. How to select the hard disk and do I need to buy the exactly same copy of hard disk or other hard drive also works? Best options ?

I need to replace it very soon before it's too late.

The system will POST, but will not boot without an OS.

Any current, standard 2.5' SATA hard drive or SSD will work. Given recent issues, WD or Toshiba would be better choices than Seagate if you're buying a spinning hard drive. For SSDs, Samsung, Crucial, WD, Seagate, Kioxia ... there are a host of reputable suppliers.

Thanks a million. That means simply buy a hard disk and install it on the laptop. Can I layman replace a hard disk by simply watching YouTube and How about the windows, will a laptop work without installing windows 10 on the laptop?
