Help unlock Bios Setup Admin Password

Hi I cannot change any settings in the bios, it’s locked. I bought the laptop on eBay, secondhand, I have registered it under my details, I have contacted the original owner, he can’t remember setting a password and gave me a few passwords to try none of them work. After 3 failed attempts I am presented with a window Admin password error codes but there is no error codes above. I can boot to win10 and can set System password and HDD password but cannot change any settings in the bios. If a dell representative can help that would be great. Thanks.

There are any number of reasons an unlock code won't work on a system that's approaching a decade old, particularly if it's been through multiple owners.  Discussing bypassing of the security password will get your post deleted and yourself banned from this forum.

If you must have a working system, the boards for this unit are well under $100 -- and it'll cost you more than that in time to remove the board, unsolder the chip and flash it externally, even if you have the tools and skill to do the job.

they gives bad codes that dont even work..,. Is there someone that can tell me the actual number of the 2 bios chip on a 3521 inspiron ? i have the schematics im looking for the output signal of these 2. either im hooking another chip in parrallel that is gonna send an output to the output of the blocked bios chip..bypassing it....or im going a level deeper and set up my arduino into an eeprom programmer then i have again to know where the 2 ic are and hook some leads to the legs....I have been given this laptop otherwise i would have bought anything else than a dell. They are answering me that i have no more warranty LOL when confronted a bit they told me 2 wrong codes and after that told me the mobo was done....This is exactly programmed obsolescence making sure that every owner that buy/sell the laptop haves to pay a warranty to have the telephone advice given. Im so mad at these thief

So i see its been awhile since anyone posted but im pretty sure you're going to have to seek out a tech with an eeprom programmer. (they are available to purchase but id start at the 40$ range as i just dont trust temu electronics after my acer fried from a usb extension.) There are youtube videos to help and even some accept mail-ins. I have to seek this process out myself since dell couldn't help me.  We tried a few different password codes he had stored but to no avail. (Btw jumpers and cmos battery aren't really a thing anymore as they are making desktop mobos with eeproms as well. Just the ones before 2014 i believe since it became a security risk {also why tpm [trusted platform module] became a thing.})

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop <Private data removed from public view. DELL Admin> that is locked by a BIOS/System password. I have forgotten it and cannot access the BIOS or the OS.

Could you please provide a master password release code to unlock the BIOS, after I verify ownership?

I can provide the original invoice or a photo of the device with the Service Tag sticker.

Thank you,
Galagama
