Help with Bios Update

Question

Hi,i am trying to update the bios on my Dell Inspiron 3537. The problem is i can't update because my battery is dead.I already tried with a USB through DOS but when i navigate to the bios file it says 'cannot be run in DOS mode'. I also tried pulling the bios files from TEMP folder and change the parametars but they go back to normal when i start the Insydeflash exe. Any other ideas? Thank you for your time

The only safe way to do this is to replace the battery BEFORE you flash the BIOS.  Anything else, and a BIOS flash means you risk a completely dead system.
