Horizontal line at the bottom of my screen -Inspiron 15 3567

Hello I have a bought an Inspiron 15; one year ago, and a thick line (several pixels) has appear at the bottom of my screen.

The problem occurs first one month ago and since this line is getting thicker.

If I try to print the screen, the problem doesn't appear in the screenshot. What should I do ?

If the line does not show when you print screen then it very well could be an LCD screen problem. Restart the system and at the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full diagnostics with attention to the LCD results. If the screen is having trouble, as I suspect then it may need to be replaced. Have you tried to boot into Safe Mode and is the line visible there as well?

Unfortunately,

  • I've check with an external monitor and the lines doesn't appear.
  • I've check in BIOS screen and the lines does appear.

Everything is pointing at a LCD screen problem.

Run a screen diagnostic (hold D through powerup).  If you see the same fault on the test screens, the display panel needs to be replaced.

if you do not, next would be to reseat the cable and check it for damage.

Yes i tried rebooting into safe mode. Still the same.
