How do i roll back from Intel Graphics driver to Dell display adapter driver?
Hello!, In a Dell Inspiron 15 3521, I updated\upgraded the graphics driver. I have some issues with the graphics driver now. So i wanna roll back. Dell wasn't offering the latest version of the graphics driver so i downloaded it directly from Intel. But now, I want to roll back to the Dell graphics driver. But when i download it from the dell website and try to install it, My antivirus says it's Ransomware! I am certain that i downloaded it from the OFFICIAL DELL WEBSITE. So, I think this is a False positive.... If not please tell me. And one more thing, Is it actually possible to rollback from an Intel driver to a Dell driver? Thank you.

If you're wondering how i did it, I used the extraction option on the driver setup from Dell and ran Setup.exe and my antivirus software didn't say that it was Ransomware. Thanks to everyone!

Thanks, I will try that. I am not sure how to disable my antivirus, but i will try on Safe mode, so the antivirus will not run on startup. I am using Windows 10 in case that is required info. Thanks again.

You cannot installed Intel or AMD drivers from the manufacturers' sites. Laptop drivers are customized by Dell to work on the exact Dell board in your computer. They rarely get updated but if the ever do, the updates must come from Dell.

I downloaded and scanned the file with Windows Security and found no evidence of a virus or ransomware. Have you tried turning off your antivirus then installing the driver? And you should be able to roll back.
